CHAPTERS IN THE BOOK OF LIFE

THE MANY CHAPTERS OF LIFE

When we are born we are fresh and new, unscared, unharmed, and have the smell of newness.  Just like a new car coming off the assembly line.  It has that new car smell, with no miles, no history, no dents or dings to the body.  The engine is new and ready to hit the road and travel an unforeseen life.

As we start our journey fresh and new, and the first chapter of our life is written-we pretty much are at the mercy of those that brought us here.  That would be our parents.  The strange part of that is, what happens in the first chapters of our life affect the rest of the chapters in our life story.

The wonderful part of a story is that a chapter is just that.  A Chapter.  It isn't the whole story it is just a chapter.  Each chapter in our book of life has a way of molding us into the people we are and creates our life story.  I often think back to the many chapters of my life and how the story is playing out.  The first chapters in my life story I personally was not able to write.  Those were written by my parents, but they played a very large part of how the other chapters were written.

Like the beginning of a new book the first chapters pull you in, but it is the middle of the book has the guts in it.

The chapters we write in the middle of our life book seem to be the most difficult.  The pages in these chapter are written by us.  If you stop for just a moment and think of the middle chapters in your life book, you will notice there were very defining.  Depending on your age of course.  I am speaking of chapters 25-45.

These chapters are mostly defined by chapters 1-20, and the events that took place.  Again, the wonderful part is it's your story and you can change how it is written. Chapters 1-20 do not have to define how chapters 25-100 play out.  Even though for some of us chapters 1-20 could have stopped the book right threre.  Or it could be the real substance of the book.  A story with no drama, substance, or character would make for a very boring read.

With all of that said, I'm not sure what chapter you are at in your life book, but just keep in mind it is only a chapter and not the entire story.  You will get through this chapter with all of its drama, substance, and character.  You will move on to the next chapter of your book of life and it will read entirely different than all the others.

So the moral of the story is, it is all up to you, how the chapters read and the legacy you leave behind when you complete your book of life.  So make it interesting, and make it memorable.  Because only you can write the book, but everyone else will read it.  What will your story read like?
